About PermitSweep
What It Is
PermitSweep is built by a guy who pulled his own permits and got burned when one of them didn't get followed up on. He got tired of losing track of things across a dozen different city and county portals. He wanted a single place to go and see what was open, what was expired, and what was about to become a problem - so we built one.
It needed to be easy. Search a company name or license number and PermitSweep checks every connected jurisdiction at once - open permits, expired permits, and everything in between - before a forgotten one costs you your license. If a jurisdiction supports it, each item in the report should link back to the correct county and customer with a single click. Dead simple.
It needed to be convenient and hassle free. It can email weekly reports to save you having to remember to come back and check. Set it and forget it. If you open a permit it'll show up on your next scheduled email. Tired of getting emails? Turn 'em off. Got a new permit? Turn 'em back on.
What It Isn't
It doesn't submit permits for you. It doesn't check things for accuracy. It doesn't replace your permit runner, your permit tech, or your savvy office folks who take care of paperwork for you. (But it does help them a ton.)
The Team
PermitSweep is built and run by a small team: Randy (Founder), Cody (Engineer), and Maia (Operations). It's a deliberate bet on what a small team can build in 2026 when the work is structured right.

We're live across 325+ jurisdictions in Washington and Oregon, with new states launching regularly. See the full breakdown on our coverage map. We plan to cover every state in time.
